SPAMSCAM. Such a big scam. Had "John Guzman" Trying to get me to fill out employment paper work to start a new job at an unknown location. Guest *** ***
SPAMOn 10 May 14, someone named John Guzman contact me via Indeed.com because he saw my resume on that site.  I had posted it one day earlier and said that he needed an account receivable clerk to start a new office in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  On the second email he asked for my name, full address and phone number so that he could mail me a cheque to buy office furniture and stationaries for the new office that was being renovated. I though it was kind of weird that I had the job without having an interview or talking to anyone, that he would send me a $5K cheque to deposit in my bank acct. He also said that he would be arriving on 13 May that I had to book accommodation for him and the other delegates and that we would meet at that time.  When he called me on 12 May his number was local and he said that he was at his mother's place. I had this gut feeling all along that something was too good to be true.  I did some research and came to see the info on this site.  I want to thank you for the Guest *** ***
SPAMI recieved the EXACT same thing! i just dont understand whats the purpose because he's never asked for any money,or for me to do anything that involves getting my information except phone number and address, but i gave him a work address just to be safe. i talked to a "Nunley Melborne" as well. what is the purpose? anyone knows what the scam could be?Guest *** ***
SPAMOMG!!!!!! Word for word, EXACTLY what I received. Ugh!!!!Guest *** ***
SPAMThey are still out there doing the same scam.  They are doing it to me right now.  The exact same scam.  Got my resume off beyond.com and gave me the job without an interview.  Wanted me to get their office ready to open, they were supposedly from Canada.  Had me research hotels, small business orgnaizations, lawyers, etc.  Said he was paying $1000/week and I would receive a cashier's check to pay for furniture and other office supplies.  It's an event planning company called BayLAH event, but its probably not really them, but someone posing as them.  They seem to be a legitimate company, on the web anyway.  Thanks for tiping me off about this guy.Guest *** ***
SPAMOmg!!!  This happened to me too, word for word of how you explained it. Everything was too good to be true but I trusted him too far, and it cost me $5000. The job, furniture purchase, the fake new building location, the hotel accommodations...  I even did research for him!!!  He sent me the cheque for the furniture and told me to deposit it. Then he told me to withdraw it and deposit it to another account. It took 3 days for my bank to find out the cheque was bad. They stopped my account. The cheque was in the name of a gaming company. I told the police everything but they said chances of catching him were slim. As soon as the bank told me, I emailed him, called him, texted...everything was already disconnected. I did email him a lengthy letter to tell him that he was the scum of the earth.Guest *** ***
SPAMI got an email too! Same one from BAYLAHEvent Links. This one is from Nunley Melborne. I looked on the website provided and while at first it seems legitimate, I couldn't help but notice there are a TON of errors in the website which makes me suspicious. First, the title on the website is spelled differently (Baylayevents) which I first thought it was just a careless spelling mistake. But then I kept looking and noticed at the bottom of the page it says copywrite 2023.....um......what? Then when you go on the contacts the same number and email address is used for all of their contacts and the only name they give is the executive director Alberto Melborne....is Alberto is the person in charge, why am I getting emails from someone named Nunley? I could just be paranoid, but the last thing that gave me a bad feeling was that when I put the address into google, on the street view the location of this place is actually an auto shop. Now before I get carried away it could be possible that they have moved locations Guest *** ***
