SPAM | Had similar calls like this before. Recorded political discussion, but that is NOT the purpose of this call. It comes through on Toll Free lines and plays as long as line is open so will fill answering systems and rack up TF charges. Beware! This is a scam to increase your TF minutes. It's not necessarily your LD carrier, there are other middle-men who get a payoff as well as long as there is traffic/minutes used on your TF line as they target all numbers that go through their system and then if over a certain limit they can charge extra to the carriers, who in the end will have to raise their rates because of increased costs so you will end up paying for it in the end with higher rates as well. Either set your LD system to only take messages a few minutes long at most, or put in a call verification system where the caller has to enter digits to prove they are live to continue or be disconnected as these are automated calls and there is no live person on the line. | Guest *** *** |
